Notre Dame vs. Washington. ESPN2. 'TIS NO FUN BEING AN ND FAN IN ALABAMA WITH NO CABLE. Look at it this way. This is one of the few games I think they are almost certainly *pounds on wood, juggles rabbits feet, throws bags of salt over the shoulder* going to win. AND I DON'T GETTA SEE IT. WAH.

We've got some catching up to do... On Friday night the stage was set for another obligatory evening of karaoke singing at Cappy's. Fewer of my library coworkers made an appearance this time out, but...all the team members. The schedule begins with an exhibition game on halloween. And as soon as I returned home, Gostowski hit his second field goal, giving my fantasy team the win, and a 4-3 record

2007 could have been worse for the Irish. Just ask Washington State University . Not only was WSU forced to hold open tryouts to find a scout team QB, that scout-team QB may not be stuck on the scout team very long. I honestly don't know, if given the chance, if I would step into that situation. I am rather fond of my tendons and ligaments and spinal bones.

The festivities began Friday night with a family excursion to the Elkhart Memorial High football game against Wawasee, which featured the Kilmers' daughter Kelsey dancing in the flag corps. First we got...football team lost, while my own team is currently trailing by 13--but I do have some hope left, as both Eli Manning and Brandon Jacobs play tonight. We'll see what happens... and then we'll move on

Notre Dame lost to North Carolina. I guess, considering Clay Aiken is from North Carolina, this isn't exactly the right userpic for this post. Oh well. I'm pissed because ABC originally had the ND/UNC... Auburn wins, and Miss State loses, I get funky. If Notre Dame loses, Auburn loses, Miss State wins, and as a bonus Michigan loses (to a MAC team! :^D) I'm happy and a little "eh, that's the breaks"

I love "The Way". And, apparently, so do montage makers for Final Fantasy! That's funny. I went to YouTube to look for some stuff and decided to try to find a live version of "The Way" and a zillion Final... Phooey. ND/UNC is going to be ABC regional or ESPN on Saturday. Whatcha wanna bet it's not going to be my region? *scowls* Ehh... they're probably going to drop it anyway... UNC has improved this year

I will keep this brief. I wasted the morning rereading The Wild Trees by Richard Preston. If I ever am reincarnated I want to be able to write nonfiction like Richard Preston. How do you make a story...of being tied to a desk for hours is really unappealing to me now. ND won. The Bears won. The Colts won. It was a good weekend on the sports front. I now must hit the bricks and meet up with J.J.

Two things before I get to sanctuary… First, Sue, I was in the stands yesterday and it was a great game, our young QB is looking confident and strong, our running backs made some big plays, and our defense...show, the talented actors, Martin Wood, and the visual effects. Great job and I look forward to more. And one final thought, as if it really needed to be said: AMANDA TAPPING IS HOT LIKE WHOA!!  

It's been a great football day for me. Notre Dame won, despite having a rush defense that the Kingpin could trundle through. It looked like they were going to coast before Stanford gave a scary as heck...team. The bad news is, it's probably not going to stay that way. Oh, and Auburn lost! (To VANDY .) Yay, yay, yay! The only thing that could make this football day any better is if USC loses too. :
