So the 2008 baseball season for My Boys is over. It seems almost surreal--honestly, it seems like it has gone by too fast. A part of that may be that we're not playing into October, but mostly I think...the loss of my team, but in academic terms, it was a C. Passing, but average. Here's to hoping the boys can kick off the rust and actually play like the team I know they can be next season...

Yeah, um, you know that thing called, um, the playoffs? We're out of it. But fret not, dear Rockies fans. I've been mulling over in my head for the past few days the question of Why? It's been really...white flag and concede. There's always next year--and hopefully they'll start it off on the right foot. You can't really get to the dance if you trip and stumble the entire way there, as it were.

Huzzah! Give or take a few entries, my little melodramatic monstrosity is over the half-century mark. Not bad for a little over a year's worth of work! So, Omar Quintanilla is a nice, compact 5'9". Not...time it was. It was samleneky 's first baseball game, and I'm always excited to spread my craziness to others. It also happened to be a fantastic come-from-behind victory, so that's wonderful as well

Finally, something exciting to blog about baseball! So, I watched the Home Run derby. I had only planned to watch a little bit of it, since there really wasn't anyone in it that I really root for. But...to explosives and was in the refrigerator where we keep the explosive liquids today and *nothing* exploded. =) The trip to Indiana has been finalized and the flight is booked. More on that later

It's been a long time! It's not like I didn't have a lot to report, but more that the effort was simply not there. I'm doing my best to enjoy my month-long break before my summer lab class starts (damn...adorable and makes me feel like a rock star. Also not my fault. Blame m00n_girl . So Ubaldo Jimenez won his first game in 13 starts tonight ... things can only go up from here, right

I absolutely *LOVE* Seth Smith. I loved him since the moment I laid eyes on him late last year, where he became the Pinch-Hitter of the Century. (This, I assure you, has nothing to do with the faux...scary. Okay, okay, I know that none of this has anything to do with the game--but as a person that favors the, *ahem*, aesthetically pleasing parts of baseball, this is of the utmost importance

Well, I think the Rockies have reached a low point. Tulowitzki, Clint Barmes, Brad Hawpe, and now Matt Holliday--and that's just the start of it--all on the DL. It's so disgusting it almost hurts. ... (The LAST thing we need right now is more blown saves). FUFHOC Unite! In other news--I am sick. Sick as a friggin' dog. And yet here I am, preparing to go to Grand Lake for Memorial Day. Joy of joys

Perhaps I have been playing too much of a certain Wii game lately, but... Hey, the plus side is, at least he shaved! Oh Spilly, Spilly, Spilly. What will he think of next?

So the Colorado Rockies--or rather, the back end of our bullpen--has been spanked by the Astros, then by the Phillies, and now by the Cubs, blowing FOUR LATE LEADS IN FOUR DAYS. And when I mean late leads...me at this point. Good pitching beats good hitting any day. And I think the little leagues playing at the park down the street can pitch better than our bullpen right now. Thank you and goodnight
