Got absolutely nothing done yesterday, instead I went out to Saranac Lake to spend the day with my sister. I'm glad I did- we don't get to spend much time together. We played with Cassie, her Collie, and... It's chilly out. And I have a headache. I love Parov Stelar. For srs. Working out tomorrow, just not sure where yet. Gotta get a definite schedule set up for things, I'm all out of whack here
Two presentations down, four to go. And I got a 4.0 for my Class Management presentation- the first 4.0 I've ever gotten on a speech! Maybe I should have just stuck with teaching in the first place- my...died! If anyone wants to get a hold of me, AIM's your best bet until 4. Then Bryan and I are going to work out together. :D Which is good. oh joy here comes some scanning. So much for homework
It seems I've rather overcommitted myself for October, and the spice challenge I suggestedlast week just isn't going to be plausible — I'm planning to cope with the cooking by doing a once-a-week splurge... but I made one like so: sweat finely-chopped onion, celery, garlic, and fennel in some olive oil until translucent; add a tin of tomatoes; simmer down until quite thick with not much free liquid
Worked out today on the elliptical machine for a half hour. If I wasn't tired earlier, I sure am now. Eeesh. I wonder if I'm catching a cold. My throat's a little off, and something's been going around town for the past few weeks. I do feel accomplished, at least. Now, time to get ready for my science group meeting.
Well, no Curves this morning. I was sick last night, and I've still got a headache from being dehydrated. However, I will be taking my gym bag to campus with me, and I'll work out there this afternoon...updated their progress since August, and it's almost October now...so it looks like I'm stuck with you, LJ. Even though I hate your ads and your money grubbing techniques. I want to go back to bed
I'm going to get my hair professionally dyed back to the color it's supposed to be. Getting my hair dyed is always a treat, even when I do it myself, so once I've got a month of working out under my belt, I'll treat myself to getting rid of the golden brown hair and get back to my dark brown hair. Maybe I'll even splurge on fancy shampoo and conditioner, too.
I need to get my butt back to the gym. So, I've set a goal for myself. I'm going to work out three days a week at Curves (and possibly extra on campus, if I get bored and energetic in the afternoons, although...time I haven't worked myself up into a panic attack over a presentation in a VERY long time. So, yeah, if I don't post tomorrow saying "I worked out yey", you all have permission to kick my ass. Srsly
We seem not to have had an October challenge yet, so let's have one.
I have a huge number of spices and herbs in my kitchen; some of them I never use, and this is at least partly because I'll be browsing...something
if you deem something to be so far past its best that you don't want to use it, throw it out!
tell the other Snakes what you did, whether it worked or whether it didn't
