Another 7.5 hours and finished up (yeah, right) the second electric guitar for Online Dating. The first guitar, entirely natural, was done by ?!Charlie in a classic hard rock style. I added a second quasi-alt-rock style (?) by MIDI feeding RealGuitar running through NorthPole running through ReValver II . Here is the demo with ?!Charlie on the left and me on the right.

Up to 51 hours now. Spiced up the bass line. Took ?!Charlie's suggestion and trimmed out some flabby measures. Loved his rhythm guitar work, but wanted to sweeten up that classic rock sound by adding in.... It's pretty simple compared to what RG can do (see their demos!), but I wanted it to blend in. Since I don't have RealStrat, this will have to go through a guitar amp simulator and some effects.

Just hit the 40 hour mark on this one. But we're on the downhill side. All the vocals have been tracked. All of ?!Charlie's guitar parts have been tracked. Harmony and melody is now final. Bass has been programmed. Percussion loops are 90% in place. Just a little more arranging to go and then it's all about polishing to a high level of sound quality....
