Sorry I haven't been posting lately. My brother and I have been getting ready for college. Today I finally moved into my dorm. It is badass. Separate bathrooms for rooms instead of suites, a common room...of people I consider attractive, and a kicker. Tom Brady is not there, if you are wondering, because my brother picked him just to spite me. In fact, I only have one Patriot: the injured Wes Welkah
...Wells really closely, and it looked like AJ was trying to kiss him. Another random: When I saw him on the mound during the game I wondered just what bet Tito had lost in order to let Kevin Cash pitch, and then I remembered that Byrd stole Cash's number. WTF Patriots? You lost 27-17 to the EAGLES? I know it's still pre-season, but seriously, you guys had better get your shit together soon.
...over who could go into the stadium first and, naturally, Eli's band of brothers beat the Jets to death with their enormous, shiny rings. When did Laurence Maroney become the team leader of the Patriots? As much fun as Maroney was in the AFC championship game he hasn't done much to designate himself team leader and king of Mysterious Awesome Beach. Let me produce a short list of players that...
...I'm not sure if we'll have to reschedule or not. Had my first football draft tonight. I was too late in the order though, so no Brady. :-p Work party tomorrow for the whole afternoon. Ought to be interesting. Tanzanian choir meeting tomorrow night. Need to remember to watch 'Secret of the American Teenager' online afterwards. Thursday is the Patriots first pre-seasongame. Friday the Olympics start.
... *Laughs* My favorite colors are pink and purple. I'm bisexual and have a lovely girlfriend whom I love more than anything, named Brenda. We've been together 7 yrs now. *smiles* I'm also a big Patriots fan and regardless of all the crap that went on last season with the whole 'Spy-Gate' thing, I still love them. And we can all move on from that shit now. Uhm, I can't really think of anything...
So, happy 4th everybody! Do as the Simpsons say and celebrate the birth of our country by blowing a piece of it up. I'm sure at about four or five o'clock, that'll be the case around here. I am also...want to sit and putter around. Maybe work on my other other novel. Watch some British television. Gear up for a parent-less weekend. Nothing special. As usual. Don't get hurt out there, people!
...NBA Championship last night. First time in 22 years. They totally devestated the Lakers 131-92, 17th time they've won it. It's been a great year for sports in Boston. Red Sox won the MLB Championship, Patriots went undefeated all year only to lose the Superbowl, and now the Celtics win the NBA title. You can't ask for a better place on the globe to live if you're a sports fan. Go Green! Transmission...
...anyone else out there (w/ the exception of Giant fans maybe) Since the turn of the century you might as well say sports have belong to Boston, thus the name TitleTown!!! 3 Super Bowl rings by the Patriots, 2 world Series Rings by the Red Sox...yes that deserves repeateing...after an 86 year drought the Red Sox have won Two World Series rings in the past 4 years and look as if they're getting ready...
...a day to put together a table top display. The ED has mentioned this event a few times prior to yesterday. Non-profit folks in the area were invited to the event. A J.Kraft, president of the NE Patriots were scheduled to talk. Many more folks were scheduled to recieve awards. I think we were invited because we run a summer sports camp for youths. Ok. So I figure, no big deal. Make the tabletop...
...other thing that happened this week was the charity basketball game I attendedlast night with my dad et al. It was pretty entertaining; the Medway firefighters battled some of the New England Patriots... alum and current... or at least very very recent: - Steve Grogan, QB hero of the 70s and 80s - Scott Zolak, back-up QB as recent as a season or so ago - Steve Deossie, I think he was a linebacker...
