Oh, how much I would have paid to see her perform this last night. "She's Got You" was originally performed by Patsy Cline (incase you're wondering, the headband Patsy is wearing is not a horrible... I began to gravitate female vocalists who had powerful and distinctive voices (introduces Céline). It makes me happy to hear Chan covering Patsy because she actually does justice to her memory
These two songs remind me of how I USED to feel about John. I heard them just now on the radio. It's awesome that I don't feel this way anymore, but the songs are still really beautiful and heartfelt....then I wake up and tear drops They fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then I wake up and tear drops They fall down like rain I put on that old song we danced to and then
So, last night I went to Borders for some whim shopping. (Whim shopping = going into a store without anything specific in mind to buy. As in, “Oh, I saw that in the store and bought it on a whim.”) I’m...CD I bought was Patsy Cline: The Definitive Collection. And, so, I'll end this with a YouTube link to one of my favorite songs from the album, Cline's posthumous hit, “Sweet Dreams (Of You).” .
1897 - Jimmie Rodgers "The Singing Breakman". Rodgers was the first Country & Western superstar. He was one of the first 3 musicians to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (with Fred Rose...to die (at 27). At the time he represented the "soul-full" part of the Dead, singing songs like "Turn on Your Lovelight", and "In the Midnight Hour". The Grateful Dead - Woodstock 1969 "Lovelight"
Two cigarettes in an ashtray, My love and I in a small cafe. Then a stranger came along, And everything went wrong. Now there's three cigarettes in the ashtray. So basically Andrea is the only person to read my livejournal, which is fun, but otherwise seems to have no purpose, therefore Patsy Cline lyrics for the title! I turned of Lost today and freaked out because...want my mom to take me to get a mani. And I need a facial. I should deserve it after all these midterms, that (who am I kidding) go on until late April, so whatevs. This weekend's gonna be great!
That's from an old song called 'Sweet Dream' by the country singer Patsy Cline. I've chosen it as my title because A) I'm insecure B) I had weird dreams, today, during my nap, and it makes for an exceedingly... I am in love with her. No srsly. Hey, she's single. And only a year older than me. So I should marry her. And I won't have to grow old, alone and forgotten, eating Nighthwawk frozen dinners every night
