I am challenging myself to do two things, increase my output and increase the size of my drawings. I've always been comfortable with a teeny weeny 4 x 5 to 8 x 10 range. I've expanded beyond that now and...get over it. On the other hand, being obvious means you are often confronted by someone elses projected idea of what an artist is. I sure as heck don't want to be doing that ( especially at this age!

Reptiles don't move quite as constantly as mammals, so it's nice to hit up the Day House when sketching at the zoo. Snow leopard failpage:

This is my latest. It pokes some fun at my boss who had a bad incident with a groundhog running over her foot. I've made fun of her before in a drawing so I hope this doesn't offend her. Combining words into the pictures solves a lot of problems for me. I need to increase my output though. One a week is just too slow.

Round two - pictures with words embedded. Need to tighten up. But still feel I'm moving in the right direction.

I am making headway. Somehow I got this brilliant idea that I could just incorporate words right into the pictures and then go from there. I was talking with a patient/artist at the hospital where... thanks to a little help from Photoshop for the text. Now I'm working on another one.... My plan is for a series of nightmares.....
