The cookies are irresistable and so simple to make! I got the recipe from the Cooking book in the Marie Claire series. INGREDIENTS 125g butter, softened 1 tsp vanilla extract 3/4 cup...and press onto baking paper lined with a sheet of baking paper. Bake in oven for about 15 minutes until golden. Place on a wire rack to cool (they'll firm up, don't worry). Enjoy! Makes about 25

I was inspired to make this for dinner tonight to accompany roast vegetables. The original recipe is here . What I put into it: I used a can of brown lentils which didn't require any cooking... I made a dressing using grated garlic, reduced balsamic vinegar, S + P, lime juice and olive oil. I mixed everything together and put it in the fridge for about 30 minutes. It's so delicious, OMG :

Tomorrow the bf and I are going on a picnic tomorrow. It rained on our July 4 picnic, so we pushed it back a few days. I decided that after seeing all of these pies, crisps, and tarts, that damnit, I want...dry ingredients. The crust was damn good. Nice, light, flakey. I didn't fry, I definitely baked and used an egg wash. No exact filling recipe, I just improvised since I've made it so many times.
