I've been way busy. Pop quizz at the end as per the norm. left: heart candy, bessabousa; right: carrots, pear-, apple-, and orange- wedges left: easy potato sautée; right: mediterranean frozen...the breath after a meal, and fajita seasoning.  anyone have any recommendations for other spices that shd be avail at the table? wow!  i discovered a forgotten can of coffee in the back of the ref during this spring cleaning deal i'm on.  yay all-mighty feine!  i think it's rolled over into spring-cleaning 2008.  a couple of pop... onion, tomatoe, and garlic, but i always end up w/mush instead of a soup.  how do you prepare these lentil soup mixes? As always bento hard and heavy and enjoy it all the while.   Regards

Hey!  It's been a while.  These are from about a week and a half ago.  I didn't do any bento'g last week as I was home on vacation.  I spent a great deal of time doing last year's spring cleaning. ...bento kit.  Anyone here big on tupperware or even other non-bento specific food storage containers? may the bento skies above always be clear and blue and shine brightly with your bentos. regards

Had a potluck at work on friday.  So, I took a very light bento to work yesterday to facilitate loss of those pounds.  We had tons of great food and I, of course, to be polite, sampled everything multiple...acces- sessories, do they have bento supplies stores? I'm unable to get too interested in food as I'm getting over the last of this ich, so my bento's are sparse.  I've a few tips under the cut as well and a question or two for the pop quizzzzz.  Hummus...good place to purchase either? 3.  I've rediscovered Schwan's and have ideas for making my bento prep easier and more varied. Of course I bento.  Can anythingelse be more fulfilling? Regards

Though I'm on the mend, I'm having a hard time getting an appetite going.  Thus, the meager bento.  The usual pop quiz under the cut. Yep!  Only one tier yesterday.  BION, I filled these with...cocktail picks in their bentos instead of the picks made specifically for bentos?  If so, how well do they work?  If it's a no-no, then why? Yippee!  I get a break for a few days from work.  I won't be doing any bentoes over the next couple days, but will be still checking in to compile ideas.  Just a wee bit of a pop quizz at the end (well...sometimes with spinach or peppers that's deep fried in a batter made from orange lentils (masoor dal). yesterday's bento.  i'm amazed at the continued creativity possible w/my dwindling stores.  but, alas, one more bento and i will be taking a break.  pop quiz at the end. left:  more of the garbanzo...ones as not everyone uses a standard bento box for their uses.  i've considered making and selling them as i'd like some variety in my bags and bands so i can wash them.  Opinions? My, oh, my!  At first I thought bentoing was an obssession I've acquired, but realize, instead, it encorporates many qualities that can enhance living if encorporated into one's lifestyle, e.g. economy...and items such as flowers and plants. This style of elaborate bento is called kyaraben. In America there are Bentos but they tend to be rare and more plain than in Japan.  More here . Regards
