October's Daring Bakers challenge was pizza (oh noes! Don't force me to make delicious gooey pizza!). I made my usual favorite standby broccoli, garlic, and mushroom pizza, and experimented with a second, garlic and brown sugar mozzarella pizza. :D It was inspired by an appetizer at The Rock . I've also been busy making a few of the yummy things I've seen in recent weeks on food_porn ...
...food monstrosities . fatassblog.com is what Roman would like to use to document our efforts to compete. But it's under the domain of a cyber squatter. Anywho. One thing we talked about was a pizza burger that really uses pizzas. Tonight Roman made a scale model using Bob Evans breakfast sausage and pepperoni bagel bites: Parts, ready to go. Looks pretty promising, eh? ...
...a low fat S'mores granola bar and had my mom make me some chai tea (which REALLY warmed me up, thanks mom :D) For lunch, I had no money in my account, so I ate a couple of bites of Lance's Red Baron pizza and a couple slurps of his slush. When I got home from school I had a handful of nuts as a snack. Then I ran into a soup dilemma; the only soup we had was made with chicken broth, and I slurped...

Nothing too interesting going on with life here really. Last night we played poker for ages (and I won all 3 games) and ordered £44 worth of Dominoes pizza between us, which we got down to £22 cos we're all students and have loads of voucher things. But I was NOT amused when the coke vending machine decided not to work for me, and ate two of my pound coins. You just can't have pizza without coke...
...for over 4 hours. I truly enjoy the time before we're open for lunch and all the line cooks are either rotating taking breaks or in the back doing prep and I can just be by myself making up all the pizzas for the morning. Another thing that sucks is I'm used to 3.5 hour shifts, but for some reason, they made the pizza/grill shift an hour longer then everyone else's shift, and it's so hard to find...
... pleeease to all of you up there to bless that I will not oversleep. Ok, I will not, I will not, I will not. and I'll hypnotize myself with that. Great. Black smoke, burnt smell, charred pizza... and there goes the solution to fulfill my hunger pangs. Edit: I decided to take a picture of it. "Eat me, will you?" Now if only I could take the black smoke engulfing my kitchen...

...she left in my parents' fridge from Sunday... I told my mom to just toss it out instead of keeping it for us... we wouldn't be by for a while anyway. Then I remembered... LEFTOVERS! I left the leftover pizza in my car! I ran downstairs and fetched my food, then checked the mail on the way up. There was a letter for someone in a completely different building (stupid canada post), and a slip saying to...
