Thought out of nowhere -- or perhaps not since I've "faced" this in many books and stories, from Tom in Draw One In The Dark facing the Great Sky Dragon and knowing there's no way he walks out of there...never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders that I yet have heard. It seems to me most strange that men should fear; Seeing that death , a necessary end, Will come when it will come.
No progress on my wip today, although I met deadlines and did some desk-clearing stuff--typing minutes. But my dad was having a knee replaced this morning and waiting to hear how it had gone this early...the wip this week, I'll be lucky, but I'll also be trying to get other things done so I have more time for it next week. Sometimes you have to go with life's flow. People are more important than things
I believe this decision would be the best choice for the time being. It's sudden, and in the middle of the school year, but I'm resigning my position at Cross University. Preparations are being made...more: Sin can be taken care of, the house can be maintained, and I can have some time to myself for things. There is something I cannot put my finger on... I feel it will be all right again soon
i have had a migraine for the last two days. it's a period headache and it comes with lovely back cramps and nausea. BJ has been amazing, he took care of Ryder after work yesterday and gave me some quiet...about these things easily now. i love my guys so much. the boy is so damn cute and looks so much like his mama! if i didn't know for sure it would wake him up i would take a picture of the cuteness
What's Important to You... And What Isn't:
For you, primal needs like eating and sleeping are your top priorities. You don't mind having things to get done... as long as they don't pile up on you. Your most important priorities get your attention. You are happily able to let the less important things slide. You want thinking to be a high priority, but you don't take...
i absolutely love to read. books are love, yes. it's just that the level of my interest and the average number of books i finish in one sitting fluctuates depending on the topic.
A few things... (1) I am devastated that Mizzou lost last night to OSU. Gosh it hurts my heart so bad! We were supposed to win and take over the #1 or #2 spot in the rankings, and go on to whoop some...was not because of a radio ad or a track from a stranger, but because of a PERSON who KNEW and LOVED you. (3) In other news, I am making a donation... to locks of love!!!! 11 inches off!!!
"There are many people who recognize the value of Quadrant II [non-urgent but important] activities in their lives, whether they identify them as such or not. And they attempt to give priority to those...their lives through self-discipline alone. But without a principle center and a personal mission statement, they don't have the necessary foundation to sustain their efforts." (The 7 Habits, 158)
"[M]any people have become turned off by time management programs and planners that make them feel too scheduled, too restricted, and they "throw the baby out with the bath water," reverting to first...things can include things like having fun, resting, doing nothing -- just so long as you do this consciously. Is that urgent TV show really worth watching, though? Maybe, but make sure it is to you.)
