k then. we'll be going from ---> in 5 fairly easy steps :] program: paint shop pro x difficulty: rather easy translatable: yupp includes: channel mixer, hue/saturation lightness, 1 fill layer... 5. layers > new raster layer. fill it with #e0e0e0 & set it to multiply 100% (this isnt totally necessary; its just to tone down the colours a bit) w00t, you're done. show me your results? (:

matte yet vibrant colouring

go from --> in eight steps! * used photoshop * saturation * translatable 1. duplicate base layer and sharpen, then set opacity to screen 40% 2. make a new layer and fill with orange #FEAC43 and... i made the opacity of the layer in step 3 higher. you can mess around with that layer to make your image a little more matte, if you wish.     hope you liked it, and i'd like to see results! (:

From this: To this: 5 Steps Translatable to all programs Original picture: 1. Desaturate your image, the image I chose was already desaturated. I usually make a new layer and fill it with... change the opacity between 20 to 30%. 5. Now get the layer you desaturated... set it on Hard Light and change the opacity between 50 to 60%. Final result: Comment and ask any questions here .

Anna Popplewell Tutorial: Playing with Saturation

FROM TO Level: Beginner to Intermediate Program CS2, but translatable (NO selective coloring) 1. Crop your base. Notes: I chose a picture that has good quality publicity shot with no major...layers I end up with the result below.
