I have been looking around for a younger horse to add to our family and know a nice, well bred and talented mare for sale. I know she's a darling, very smart and a gorgeous mover for both Western and English...of her and she's just what I'm looking for. Would I be totally out of my tree to buy her w/out going to see her or ride her? Part of me says yes, I'm being an idiot. Advice? And thanks as well
Hello everyone! I'm a frequent reader, but infrequent poster due to not having a horse currently to post about (my family had to euthanize her in June due to a health issue). It's the first time in many...which means that I'll need an animal who is intelligent enough to remember everything when I can't get out there EVERY DAY to work with it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, and thanks in advance
So, I'm seeing two 3 y/o geldings, one a overo and the other a dun. Anyways this will be the second time I'll be seeing them again. The first time was in the late evening, so it was dark when I went...Murray? He is 12 y/o and is $1500 for sale. Thanks everyone. Also, I have printed off a good checklist from http://www.equinelegalsolutions.com/ and will be bringing that with me as well. =]
So I've made my choice and will be moving on from Murray. Great horse in general, just not for me. I have had lots of trouble (and work) with Murray's left ear. We've left the bridle on his ear sometimes... So I'm still in the search of looking for a new horse. Sue did offer Charity, the OTTB mare I've been working with since Feburay, to lease and hopefully buy in the end. So I have that option. =
Hey everyone! I'm finally in a position to begin looking for a horse after having to sell the ones I had in order to afford college. Obviously, I know I need to find a trainer in my area to at least provide...up at 16.3/17hh somewhere around there. This guy is a 6 year old, 16.1hh Percheron/TB gelding. He's not growing anymore and I'm concerned about his height and my longer legs. Thanks everyone
I dont post very often but I really feel like I need the sage advice of others on the situation I have found myself. So my background is that I have been leasing this older gelding for the last two years...I need to move on from Junior, its going to be really hard as weve become so attached. Its just nice to know that his real mom has an awesome home for him to go to if I decide to go with this mare
The rest of this is going to be behind a cut. Lots of babble. Anyone going to the horse fair in Indy this weekend? I wanted to invite anyone going to come visit Keegan. He loves attention. ...QH mare I ride currently. Anyhow, I'm done rambling. Everyone keep their hooves crossed for awesome weather in Indy for this weekend! Keegan appreciates it, and so does my camera
Anyone have any experience with a horse with osselets? I really shouldn't be looking at New Vocations horses...but I found this guy ( video ) who I am very tempted to go look at. His ad states that...v=aga06x1DoNE ">video ), but not sure about his whithers, or the way he moves...maybe with some work he could go better? I much rather prefer the first. I think I'll fill out an application. Opinions
