Damn what a heavy week it is for me. My usual tab at Universal Comics is between $10 and $15 a week on average. This week? Nearly $40! Wowza! Anyway, here's the list, in no particular order. Astonishing...was only a buck. SPLURGE!!! Of The Week!!! - Marvel Apes #4 Variant Cover . 'nuff said. Next week? Hopefully Farscape comes out cuz the con is next weekend. That would be so rad!
Here's this week's pull list. Still missing Spooks #2 from last week but I made up for it I think with the 3 covers for G.I. Joe. Captain America #43 - The Death of Captain America storyline is...HAD to have but I got it. And Cat is supposed to get me the other incentive as well. Gotta have a full set dontcha know. No SPLURGE of the Week!!! this week... yet. More on that in another post
Here's this week's pull list along with a few review-y bits since I've read some of these already. Astonishing X-Men #27 - I'm not sure what's going on with this title. Is it coming out regularly...Omega Team #2 . He's got a reorder in so hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll have that one. No SPLURGE!!! of the Week this week. I kept myself under control for once. Yeah I know! Go figure
I finally got my computer fixed, about time I know, now I can get some real writing done. Saw Choke, Eagle Eye, and Traitor last week in theatres; enjoyed Choke, but it was horribly flawed, Eagle Eye...Chargers (who played the Patriots in the AFC Championship last year). With the 0-4 Texans up this week and if we can be them soundly, I don't think it's wrong to say that we have a shot at the playoffs
Okay here's my pull list this week. It has a surprise or two that I hope to enjoy. Serenity: Better Days TPB - Yeah its digest sized and that sucks but its Serenity and I had to have it. Hopefully...so I'm in this one for now. Was supposed to get BSG Ghosts #1 this week but Cat got shorted a bunch of books so I may stop by later in the week to see if he's gotten it yet. So until next week...
This weeks Pull List doesn't have anything spectacular in it. But I did get a little something extra this week that I hadn't expected to find. I'll save that for last just cuz I'm a tease. Civil War...figure and I had to have it. Hal, Sinestro (both versions) and the Deathstroke figs are the only ones that interest me in this line so far. I'm 1/5th of the way to getting all I want as of now. Yay
This week's Pull Box has a fewsurprises. I've already read one title and if I get time I'll post a review today. Until then, here's what I got... The Ultimates 3 #5 - the final issue of Ultimates...maybe sometime in the near future released film "My Name Is Bruce". Who cares really. Its the Bruce Fucking Campbell!!! And that's it for this week folks. Join me later for a review of Iron Man DOS #33
This week's Pullbox is rather Marvel-centric. Its a light week for releases anyway and mine just happen to be all Marvel. Go figure. Marvel Apes #2 - I actually enjoyed the first issue. Nice mindless...Man: Director of Shield issue due to the War Machine image on the cover but passed when I realized it was a Secret Invasion tie-in and that's a mess I don't want to jump in the middle of right now.
Here's what I've got on my list for this week. SecretInvasion #6 - honestly there's not much going on in this book, mostly fights and some talky bits but that's about it. But I can't afford all...Comics site last night. 1) its a Marvel Apes variant. 2) its for the Hero Initiative. 3) its pencilled by 'ringo whose art I admire. Hopefully the mailman won't fuck it up when she delivers it
With the Labor Day holiday, new releases were pushed back a day this week so I didn't get my books until today. Here's what's on my pull list this week. Green Lantern #34 - The final chapter of... Read the main story but didn't have time for the backup so look for a review Friday. So that's it for this week. Big shout-out to Cat at DJ's Universal Comics, my local comic shop. Cat's the man
