The Unfinished Obelisk is quite a sight. I wondered why we were going to a stinkin’ granite quarry, but it was rugged and beautiful. To imagine thatpractically all the granite ancient Egypt...now! I’m still trying to figure out how much of it was our not figuring out we had to say when, and how much was just Haitham being a smartass. Probably a combination of the two.
This is the day we started our cruise proper. Learning the ropes of life aboard our ship was a swift but exciting adjustment. So, the sights today! 1) I did a study of deer one day - went out in the woods, and studied very carefully their habits. My initial hypothesis was that I would find that they used one particular hoof, or another, to do various...at the wall opposite me, past all of these bottles whizzing along. Finally, I had to ask what the hell I was doing. The supervisorexplained. "How else does all the milk get past your eyes?
If Panel 1 doesn't make sense, "That was slick" is what my mom says when I do something particularly klutzy. (Edit: Also, sorry, I just realized that looks nothing like a k.) I said it automatically, then realized yes, the notebook that made my pen slip and fall off the table was in fact quite slippery.
Wow. This is pretty amazing. Yeah I knowI'm late in the whole "online journaling" thing but it's all new to me. :D Hmm, not much to write right now. (hehe) Except that I have allot of homework I have to do tomorrow to be done by Tuesday. :S I realllllllly wish we had another week of break! Goshdarnit!
