I went to London to see humanfemale and Nevermind the Buzzcocks . The recording was at White City with a predictably huge queue (we were lucky to get in - 219 and 220 out of 233 tickets given out). At first this was merely cold and unpleasnant, but then it started to rain very hard indeed and drenched us. I was fortunate to have a thich enough coat and hood to protect me from the worst excesses...
I think what struck me most in the past two years, is that I have had many friends and family members afflicted by cancer. This past year and a half have been especially hard for me and my husband,...why I'm donating 25% of each album sale to a cancer research organization. One that has a great reputation for aggressively tackling cancer, and researches extensively all avenues to finding a cure.
www.myspace.com/rebekahanncurtis I've neglected to point out a sample I have posted on my player. This song is a great sweet song that ended up having an upbeat feel to it. When I originally sat...denying myself the inevitable, and what the song deserved in the end. I love the way the song turned out, it's beautiful, with great piano and musicianship, it's more than I ever thought it could be.
...to keep posts under two weeks. Not working so well. Alright, so I'll return to my previous statement that Vista is terrible. I wanted to use the tablet for a few other uses, specifically sound recording using Cubase LE4 (Nice program) through the Tascam 144 (Nice unit) with a set of microphones and a MIDI keyboard I've got hanging around. Something goes funky with the driverinstall for...
I rode the bus into Seattle, thinking about what the new video was going to feature. I contemplated whether or not I should heed my husbandswarning about not razzing Loren. (His Red Sox lost...curtis), and also on youtube. at www.youtube.com/rebekahanncurtis . The vimeo one is a better one to watch because it looks better. Go to www.vimeo.com/rebekahanncurtis/videos and check it out
...early never hurt anyone. I grabbed everything I needed out of the car and speed walked to the door of the studio. As I reached the entrance, Scott Ross, the sound engineer and owner of Elliott Bay Recording Studio, was standing outside. I thought that was a little odd, since every time I'd come down to the studio before he'd always been inside. He had a pensive look on his face as he moved towards...
... This keyboards kinda getting on my nerves cause my "m" doesn't always work and it's a pain in the ass. I was laying in bed just thinking and I came to the conclusion that I really need to start recording some songs. I mean now I finally have all the time I need in the world, my MIDI Controller, and some more space. I have everything I need. I've been writing some good stuff lately, and even...
The Recording of the Daniel Pearl World Music Days “Harmony For Humanity” Project Blog/Journal By Steffen Franz, Producer Friday October 16, 2008 Today is the first real day we started working on the new generation of Poetz4Peace. Although we haven’t worked together in a few years, this is an amazing opportunity to be a part of “World Music Days” dedicated to the memory of Daniel Pearl...
This week, I used a slightly organized method of remembering things I wanted to tell you dudes. MTM's book: She got her computer working again and spent a couple hours the other day working on her novella...food in my mouth at random points. Eggsalad sandwiches, these cookie things... And they had fruits sitting out. I went all happy-faced. STRAWBERRIES. AND APPLES. AND GRAPES. OHHHHHH LALA! Mascii
