Just a general question - I find that lots of North Americans seem to think that Europeans don't wear jeans or shorts. Where did this belief come from? I'm not European, but having spent sixteen of the...assumption comes from. Hello! I've just been notified that I am officially accepted to Sciences Po in Paris, starting in August. I'll be studying there for 6 months, and I'm rushing about trying to get my passport/visa/accomodation... My second question: I'm a vegetarian. I have a week off of school in the end of February and my friend and I are going to spend most of it in Ireland. Right now we are planning for six nights total, starting in Dublin and ending in Belfast...clubs -- we're more into the pub scene, or some live music venues -- but I'd love any recs of places with a good atmosphere and reasonable prices anywhere in the cities we might visit. Hi all, I've just joined but I did check the tags first! This is a fairly specific question: Can anyone recommend a restaurant in Venice to eat at on Christmas Day at lunchtime? So far the ones that...near the Rialto Bridge so somewhere close to there would be extra good. We're not restricted by budget (well, not on Christmas Day, anyway).
