Had riding lesson today. In the advanced class. Still not really sure. It might just be that I've had the same instructor since I was 6. Jenny knows how I ride and the best way to get me to improve. And Jenny has a specific way of teaching. Which obivously changes with each instructor. BUT I was in the advanced lesson today and we still spent the entire lesson trotting round and round in a circle....

So once again, I haven't updated regularly. But we've had some great rides. My first ride after this past post was a trail ride! He did sooo good too! Maille was having some malfunctions - spooking at... 'forward', 'move shoulders', and 'move haunch'. As well as picking feet. Then took him out to the arena and made him do it in a big space. So poor Griff :P We'll see about tonight, its getting COLD!

I officially, OFFICIALLY, give up on life. I was so hopeful about today. I had a good feeling that I was going to do well. Well, I'm never trusting my feelings again. I got assigned the same horse... I feel like a complete idiot, even though it wasn't my fault. Even if I'd managed to stay on him, I would have placed low because of his bad behavior. Oh well. I'm just going to go to bed now

I went for another ride today. Just trying to squeeze every last ride out of this year that I can, 'cause once the snow falls I won't be able to do much until the spring. ... College is hard and far away from home. I just want to be in my own house, in my own bed with my dog, with my family in the same state as me. I want to see my friends. I am so frustrated with riding. Our coach doesn't coach . She just... TALKS . SO. MUCH. But repeats the same, barely helpful things over and over. And yeah, our lessons are 'time on a horse', but there is more to riding than...

...wasn't just a random place they'd picked! But it was fun and there are lots of nice people and i didn't get scared with people that are not 10 which is who i am used ot having to teach! Ordered a riding hoodie too. It was quite expensive really, but i figured as i don't really want a soton one that i could get the riding one instead and all could be forgiven! Booked my lesson for next week too...

...we have forms to fill out this time, so at least something udeful will come out of it. Oh, and i need to beg a lift to winchester this weekedn to requal my pta. So infact it will be very useful! No riding tomorrow. Haveto wait till next week. Which means i don't know what I'm going to do all day tomorrow. I have a 9am lecture coz our lecturer got lost on monday and ended up in the wrong building...

So I haven't updated in over a week. Why? Because I'm BUSY. all. the. time. :P But as of the last entry... We got a lesson with Julie on Thursday!!! We worked on spiraling in and out of circles, breaking...so I have all week, and I'm still thinking up a plan for him. More spiral circles? More Martingale work plain trot poles maybe some canter poles? Turn on the forehand again? Trail ride would be nice
