Well, I brought the Teal Terror (A.K.A. Crunch, Blue Bomber, Bessy, and in vernacular, "the car") in for an oil change. I got a call two hours later. Like a concerned car owner, I raced into the back...patching her up (yet again), but unfortunately, we're going to have to deal with the fact that Ol' Bessy will soon have to go out to pasture. We can't keep frankensteining her together for much longer
I arrived in Ithaca and brought winter with me. A transfer in Syracuse made it possible to scope out the train station which in fact is the same building as the bus station. That saves me a bit of worry...yet. Tonight, cocktails with one of our former teachers with whom I'll have a birth chart reading tomorrow. Fun fun. And the first leg of my trip has been booked. YAY!! I'll post specifics soon
So Savannah was beautiful, making it hard to come back to Columbus and deal with the cold and grey ickiness. Although today was sunny, it doesn't make up for the chilly and depression. But let's go back... Sunday was driving day. We left at 9, and 11 impossibly long hours later we were back in Columbus. We had Sushi Ting for dinner, our last expensive meal for a while, then came home to needy cats.
Getting out of Dodge, uh, New York City, actually happened. Monday was spent waiting for a package that never arrived setting me back a day because I couldn't take things to the thrift store. So Tuesday...was also hot tubbing, which just rocks at all times. When it came time to leave, I was escorted to the Utica bus depot and bundled off to Ithaca for the next leg of the slow move out of New York
I know that I have been on and off the radar lately. I didn't have a connection to the internet on Thursday or Friday because I was in the car for the larger part of both days. Michael's suite mate from... I have been looking forward to this visit for so long! She is such a neat lady! So weddings, family, riding in the car...it was all an incredibly blessed adventure! How were all of your weekends
Title : Thursday Fandom : Road Trip Pairing: Josh/Rubin Author : azephirin / abi z. Rating : PG-13 Word count: ~2400 Disclaimer : No, no, no: these guys aren’t mine (although if...felt Rubin’s pulse slow down to something near normal. “It’s gonna be OK,” Josh whispered. “I hope you’re right,” Rubin said. “I’m right,” said Josh, and answered the door when E.L. knocked
Last weekendJosh and I did a quick impromptu two day fall colors road trip on part of the Cascade Loop staying the night in Winthrop, WA . While in Winthrop we found an outdoor museum full...much about the end product in this case. On our way back home Josh had to stop and stick his finger in a goats mouth and make a horsey face. Thanks for taking a look!
Its weekendin the woods, redux.. seriously... no really.. Late Friday, Biblio and I decided, oh what the hell and took off at midnight for Camp Atterbury in Indiana, 4 and 1/2 hours away to watch Ditzy...half on the way to the challenge (yes, in the dark) and the rest while waiting between events. Here's a crappy pic when I got up this morning and realized that yes, indeed, I had finished it
I have no idea how many miles we traveled today, but it was Roadtrip Sat for us and it was a Good Thing. Maybe I'm recovering a bit of energy if I can actually leavethe house for more than work, Dr appts...enough! But I'd like to make sure it's fibroids and not something more sinister going on. Question of the day: Do I pre-order the new Nickelback album or just run into WM on the day and get it?
