Made it back from our long drive to DFW and back (about 550 mi each way)...Had training on Mon/Tues and drove back yesterday. Gas prices in OKC were $1.99...almost took a picture, but did take a picture...really an uneventful trip, missed the kids for sure! My wife picked up a halloween costume for Keira while I was away...she looks pretty cute. Will definitely post more pics of her halloween fun
...not where we want to be, he'll be done with Welding school in May and I can take massage therapy anywhere, so hopefully next summer we can try something new. I'm flirting with the idea of taking a roadtrip cross country and staying in CA with my Manda for a month, and then from there I hope to gain more of an idea about where I'd like to stay for a while. PLEASE somewhere WARM for God's sake!!...
So, I was on my own today - my hiking partner didn't show. He called about 8:45am while I was already on the road to say he was at the hospital with his son who had an athsma attack early that morning...do this hike again soon - and I will camp out next time and do the loop and off-shoot trails as well as the summit. I'm already looking forward to it. Here's pictures - there's lots of them.

It feels like going home. Which is both terrifying to me as a concept, and delightful and exciting to me, 'cause I'm going to Texas. And now I've pretty well sorted out all my baggage with people like...in Austin, Sunday on campus (it's a good time, 'cause everyone else will be at church or sleeping off their hangovers from the night before), Monday at the conference, Tuesday at the conference. Whee
I'm going on a solo road trip to somewhere this weekend -- my autumnal wanderlust has kicked in full-force, and I have to travel. I don't know where I'm going, but I know that I'm leaving Friday night... which probably still puts me at about 500 miles. So, does anyone have any suggestions for where I should go? The best thing I've come up with is wandering around Wisconsin, or maybe into Minnesota
