WORK SAFE Dan came by yesterday; he had a proposition for me with respect to The Early Mixes . With some cooperation with the right people, we might be able to expand the visual...film is, not the style but the nature of the humor. Hell, the American Pie people made an entireseries of movies based on the sequence that determines whether or not Hot Lips is a natural blonde.
Lately my days are filled with Open --and almost nothing else. I wake up worrying about something or other (last night: incredibly bizarre science fiction anxiety dreams). Then I spend the first hour...I usually find myself laughing at the parts where the characters don't realize they're being funny. Either I'm into deadpan humor, or I like laughing at people more than with them. Can't it be both?
Last night Liz and I saw McCabe & Mrs. Miller at the Whitsell. I love that film. The film was so good I could forgive Mr. Big Head who sat in front of me (who can't really be blamed for the shape of...even sleep, a few hours, before I'm back up and driving to the J Hot to light an interview segment. Not exactly a whirlwind of excitement, but there it is: my life, in all it's banal splendor.
Daniel Day-Lewis' role as Daniel Plainview, a determined, misanthropicsilver miner who strikes oil, won him critical acclaim and an Academy Award for best actor. I can't imagine where it might...get another Sony, I should be able to use the same harness (I hope). While I can, for the moment, just use the iPod for music, it isn't as convenient, and often takes up too much attention to control.
I usually don't post clips without any comment at all, but a few days ago I did so with a clip from Robert Altman's Nashville , in which Keith Carradine sings his Oscar-winning song "I'm Easy" . I have...recordings in favor of the rougher location recordings, giving that film's songs a ragged aspect as well. Which, of course, ended up blending perfectly into the typically very busy Altman soundtrack.
WORK SAFE Damn surveys... [1] Who were your last 4 texts from? waystone and Anel, my dispatcher (albeit not on official company business). [2] Where was your default picture... No. 44. Do you currently hate someone? Not really. 45. Who do you miss the most? My grandfather. 46. Why do you take surveys? Because they're something to do while waiting for the day to end...
The wrist of my right hand is giving me some pain. Everybody I have mentioned it to has brought up that it might be carpal tunnel syndrome, but I'm not so sure as CTS tends to be gradual, and this came...about desert island lists as I know that the moment I make one, Rod Serling will show up and stick me on a desert island with only ten records, ten movies and ten books to read for the rest of my life.
