Harmonix has secured the rights to use Beatles music in a Rock Band–style game, which is under development and slated to be released as a stand-alone game in winter 2009. Sweeeet.

So it was just announced today that Harmonix, creators of Rock Band, are working with the Beatles to create a new music game . It's not a Rock Band game, though. I'm sure it'll be basically the same thing, but we probably won't get to play Beatles songs in Rock Band. Well, it's a good start. Sounds like it might be out sometime next year, possibly December. That's a long way away.

First off I need to say that I'm annoyed at Microsoft that the name "The Sexxy Pandas" is not "classy" enough to be used for any of the Xbox live competitions yet there are band names that refer to drinking/being...it's been quite a while since I last had one (15 years give or take) so that's on the books. I'm really impressed by the songs included on-disk with Rock Band 2. Looking at the list itself only gives you somewhat of an idea, and of course there are songs on it that you already know you really...a picture of the band to the internets. All of the internets. Also, I've been playing Fallout. No, not fallout 3. No, not fallout 2. Fallout. I swear to god I am getting so frustrated with it.

what does it mean that all the songs we just bought on rock band 2 are listed as "Pending" and won't download? Pausing and resuming them just sends them back to pending. Is the server overwhelmed with DLs, maybe? I couldn't find anything about it online.
