...at a time. It all started so innocently with preparing for Monday's Exalted session at work, which gradually merged into picking out charms for Himmel, and before I knew it, it was well past midnight and I was sitting with a half filled-in character sheet and several rough sketches. Just to prove to myself that I can, tomorrow I will not think or speak or write about roleplaying at all.
As promised in the comments of an earlier post, here's a link to the shop where I sell my dice jewelry. There's all kinds of other pieces there, and I have less than half of my jewelry actively listed on the site. (Taking all those pictures is really time consuming!) But hey, at least a good chunk of it is out there, and I'm always open to requests.
I feel like I owe baeraad a huge favor, because his new policy of giving out XP for stories made me want to write. (What can I say? I like XP.) And since it's been thirteen days since I wrote...I figure it's pretty obvious what I ought to do with them. I mean, come on. I'm twenty-three, and the only thing I've ever done well is to hit things. Doesn't take a genius to figure out the rest
...Edition versus the previous version of the game. I’ll spare you the details, as it’s been discussed ad absurdum elsewhere. It did get me thinking, though, about the role rules play in tabletop roleplaying games.
Tabletop roleplaying games, as I’ve mentioned before , can adapt to players’ actions much more easily and completely than digital games. This is due mostly to the GM ’s ability to...
With the end of OddConUK '08 starts OddConUK '09. Yup, we're already booked for next year and this time we're not clashing with Spiel in Essen, Germany. There were a lot of people who couldn't make it...we clashed with Spiel. Something we were keen to avoid this time. I'm waiting to hear back on some figures so that I can write up a decent report on OddConUK '08 and include some of those figures.
Gaelcon was pretty damn good. From the moment Jen and I arrived, we could feel a whole different atmosphere than the last two years. There was a great energy about the con this year, helped by the trade...this. Fun game. It has a very different playing style to most games, and I'd like to try more of it. Good Gaelcon all around. Nice, chilled atmosphere. Also, Bring & Buy Stand is the best idea ever
A quick request - if you are going to comment, please do so at livejournal, not facebook. Check phobiandarkmoon.livejournal.com I'll repeat that - do not read if you wish to play the Thousand Thrones...more days in between encounters both between here and act, and between the first and second parts of this chapter. Running around perpetually on heavily wounded is not very fun for a character.
This session didn't get through as much as I thought it would. It seems to be a fairly consistent theme of WoD games to spend a long time on individual important tasks and character moments, at the expense...progression of story arc. People are properly in character and puzzling out bits and pieces of their lives - in general, I'm most happy about the level of immersion. Promethean lolcat jokes aside. Nic
