Personality Test

Stolen from porku  's LJ.   Humanmetric's typology test.   I scored...  INTJ moderately expressed introvert                              (33%)   moderately expressed intuitive... $120 cheaper than the iPhone and the monthly rate dropped down to a reasonable $50.  Now I just have to spend the next month figuring out all the features and transferring all my #'s and info.  _o_

Unverified claims.

Apparently, a group of chickens is called a 'peep'. As in, a peep of chickens.

Wow.

Swiped from Bruce Sterling's blog. Still... A total of 76 Nobel laureates support Obama. I guess he IS bad for the country, unless you think the Nobel Prize is, like the UN, a GOOD thing.

Compared to other species There is controversy over whether adult humans exhibit certain neotenous features, or juvenile characteristics, that are not evidenced in other great ape species. Stephen Jay...(and possibly H. erectus and H. heidelbergensis) by appealing to these species' nurturing instincts through paedomorphic cuteness to avoid territorial aggression . Inspired by recent discussions I've had on matters scientific I just wanted to point people to The Science Network . This is a wonderful organization that promotes science and reason and has some...with leading scientists. They have an Annual conference called Beyond Belief and I've just watched the vids from the most recent one here . The discussions were very illuminating indeed.

All sorts of things

So I guess the rumors of the live action Robotech are true, the producer of The Dark Knight is begining work on a script!  Lends a bit more credibility that something good can happen!   Here is...references throughout the game, FTW!!   Oh and in case anyone is wondering if the Large Hadron Collider in Europe has destroyed the world yet, there is a website monitoring it in case it does!

UFOs oh noes!

Reuters story on the National Archives release I was a semi-regular reader of the Skeptical Inquirer for a couple of years. Once I attended a lecture by a famous UFO debunker about UFOs. He stated quite...life, however, I do not agree that where there is no other explanation, then these people are all H/D/L/I. In fact, in one report it specifically states that the witness was a "stable and sober lady.
