I've held off with this post for awhile because the emotions were still pretty raw and my feelings about it weren't entirely organized. I'm in a much more philosophical frame of mind now and feel I can...working through the David DeAngelo Inner Game and Mastery material. I'm also doing some other self-improvement things just for myself. I'm happy and content right now, taking every thing one day at a time

What I find very strange is how people react to things that are not the norm, and the people who are wearing things out of the norm expect from others. Sometimes it irritates me because they would say...a stride, instead of being hurt by it. In the end, whatever you're wearing, never get offended by what other people are saying about it. You took the time to put it together, at least be proud of it

I've had social anxiety since I was 11. It's gotten better over the years, but it keeps me from meeting new people, getting a job, speaking up in class, etc. I start twitching and I feel sick a lot. It's... For these of you who've tried behavioral therapy, how well would you say it worked for you? Please tell me anything about your experience, I would greatly appreciate it. How many times in my life have I heard "nothing good happens at night." I'm sure growing up this comment referred to crime or some other form of devious behavior, but good things really can happen in the... birds and bugs have called it a day. As my day ends, I am preparing to bloom. I feel a renewed sense of hope that something good can come from all of this confusion. Wow. Me, a moon flower. Who knew

Hello all.  I am in the middle of one of my anxiety/rage attacks and right now you guys are the only ones I can turn to. I hate it when my boyfriend goes to bed before me.  I hate it because it leaves..... then I tried to come off of it and ended up digging up some of my old Wellbutrin and self medicating until I see a therapist.  Does anyone else have anxiety about these things to such an extreme?

I am dating this guy that I have been with since August of 2007. I feel that he is the best for me, and that there will never be anyone else in my life. I don't want to find anyone else. I want him. Yet...about me than I care about him.. only cuz he has it so together, and I apparently don't. Yet I know deep down inside I don't want this relationship to fail. Does any of this make sense? Dan

I had the chance to speak to a group of mental health professionals on Friday. I am always excited about having a platform to share some of my experiences so that someone else will be spared some of the...from within. I have grown a little more in my recovery since I wrote. I feel like I have taken one more step towards putting some of the past behind me and am standing a little taller as a result
