Things that make me feel better: - being deliberate about getting ready for bed: undressing, brushing my hair - forgiving myself now and then, choosing not to fight - going downtown just to go downtown...my own secrets - listening to '90s music - choosing not to feel guilty In other news: - my mom answered my question: I had some words in Venezuela, so I started talking when I was one or one and a half - I

Puffy Eyes

When it comes to puffy eyes, it is best to be proactive and look for a permanent solution by ascertaining what the primary cause is rather than being reactive and trying to correct it later.    ...does. There is a minor surgery that can be performed called “blepharoplasty,” where the surgeon makes a very small incision under the lower eyelid to remove the excess skin, eliminating the pouches.

resolutions? HA!

So the topic of new years resolutions came up today and I have been thinking, what more do I possibly need to add to my life.  LOL.  The only thing that is coming to me is to take better care of myself...year I am making a promise to include my name on that list of duties I feel I must fulfill.  Who knows what that really means, does it matter?  I must be ready to take care of myself, at all costs

Six Stretches To Do At Your Desk

Side Stretch This is a great stretch to relieve computer-related tension in your wrists and to stretch your sides. It will also help relieve lower back tightness. Stand with your feet hip-width...up, returning to a sitting position. Excerpted with permission from Life Is a Stretch: Easy Yoga, Anytime, Anywhere (Llewellyn Publications, 1999), by Elise Browning Miller and Carol Blackman.

A Bit of Caving

I may not be around much on LJ for the next week or so. Just FYI. I realized yesterday that I was having a fierce desire to retreat from the world in some ways ... what I call "caving" or "to go into my...a lot going on, and I'm feeling overwhelmed by it all. Nothing major, nothing traumatic ... just need to retreat. I'll be reading, most likely, but probably not posting much. See you when I emerge. K

waking up.

Just waking up in the aftermath of the very ridiculous workathon that led to the development of the knitted speakers piece. I am experiencing the predicted anticlimax that comes after working your ass...a phone... letters are such an excellent way to communicate and I love Caroline so much. And I must sort out my passport or I won't be able to travel to Ireland on the 20th like I'm planning to..

Eat something

Well I got up at 10 and I have been on lj ever since. Four hours. My stomach is rumbling. I guess I will take a break for a while, but thanks for all the amusement lj.
