So, at this point there's no way that I can fabricate one, much less two, of a helmet that would really make our Halloween costumes much cooler. At least, not in the 6-8 hours that remain available to...be produced in a day, instead of a week). If I had started on these costumes before Monday, I would have had time to do it all. Ah well; perchance I'll do better on the time allocation next year
The thing that I said would NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN... happened again tonight. And... my sewing machine still doesn't need to be serviced. Yes. I sewed through my finger again. Same freaking finger too, darn it. I have decided that I will invest in the finger guard. It has GOT to be cheaper than the doctor visits. Sheesh. Happily, the damage was a lot less than last time. I don't have stitches...
The person I was expencting to come sew tonight had to cancel (totally understandable, honey), so I'm looking at going upstairs and actually working on something for me with a lot of trepidation. How does one go about doing such a foreign thing?
...on, what uses you can put it to, how many children you owe the company if you fail to register, etc. Recently I purchased some rather expensive, but somewhat necessary companion software for a sewing machine that I own. You can use the machine sans the software, of course, but the full brilliance of it can only be realized when you can sync it to your computer (yes, you *can* do that nowadays...

Also great for business cards...cut-out on the edge so that you can get your cards out quickly and easily. Hand-sewn and hand appliqued with care, by me, in my pet-free, smoke-free home. OhmygoshI'mgonnafallover To everyone who's awaiting a costume: Sorry for the delay! I have them all ready, so just reply here and I'll tell you how much you owe. You can send the money either before receiving your costume, or...if you don't have it, then... Unless I told you otherwise, just get me the money when you can, okay? ^_^ Must sleep now... [ooc: Strikes easily hackable]
I have been meaning for a while to post some pics on here, so here are a couple of my most recently completed projects: hairbows for USM's Homecoming parade per request of a friend for her grandson More projects in the making... (*whew*)

http://www.instructables.com/ I just discovered this! Amazing! Go there! Especially for Halloween-- great ideas! Costume, make-up, whatever.. One of my favorites was the ouija board hooked up to a computer... A doll serving dish? Genius. Cracked me up. A papier-mache Frankenstein costume? It's like a bunch of dress diaries, for anything you can think of, with instructions and pics to match
...plans for french seams, but I had wanted to use them on this shirt to strengthen it since Jeremy is so hard on his clothes. However, I'm ditching french seams and just going with my usual method of hand-sewing which is a combination of forward and back stitching.
