MARVEL Beta Ray Bill: Godhunter #1 of 3 - Kieron Gillen + Kano. After the events of Secret Invasion Aftermath: Beta Ray Bill - The Green of Eden , good ol' BRB is sick and tired of Galactus and...characterization is handle in sparce pieces of melodrama. Again, a perfect example of what Thor was like at the time. Hard to imagine that 15 issues later Warren Ellis would be writing the series.

I met Chad at Heroes Con and commissioned ... a few cards from him.  But I commissioned this set after the con, and after I had seen his Booster Gold and Blue Beetle cards.  They were whimsical and...with him giving the rabbit ears to Namor.  I think this works out better ... especially with Hulk giving hug to his pals. Prompted by the cool Defenders 'mug shots' that Sephygirl found and talk of eyebrows, I found this in files.  I believe it is a promo for the Defenders cross over that appeared in the Annuals of these...back in the 90s.  As far as I know of, it isn't a promo for the hilarious mini-series that Maguire illustrated called Indefensible.  Anyway, I love Maguire's work and he always makes me smile.

Hulk 11!  Part two of the time displaced Prince, fighting to regain his lady love!  Which sadly sounds a whole lot better than the book may be.  I was going to crop this cover down to the essentials...not sure I'd like to compare myself to the great Neal Adams, but that's just me.  And here's something from page 1 that I did crop.  That expression is ... well Icon Worthy, at the very least.  

There's a large portion of comic book fans, like myself, that are completeists.  We tend to buy books of a particular title, even if we don't care so much for the artist or the writer, because not to...in the 90s Namor series where I thought they were going to do something interesting with Tiger Shark, when he was hooked up with Tamara, and trying to be human, but that was dropped at some point.
