Feeling a bit better now, so I think it's a good time to get blogging again. I've been meaning to post about my trip to Fantasycon, so let's go... Friday 19th September, and it was off to the Britannia...he'd really 'captured the spirit of Poe'. Well, so be it. That's the way with conventions -- you can't go to everything. And that was my first day at Fantasycon. But there were two more to come...
Book 31. Something from the nightshade by Simon R. Green fantasy 240 pages I have seen this one around for a while. I thought about buying it because there is a quote on the book from Jim Butcher... Yeah, this book was ok. Nothing too great, or awful about it. John Taylor felt a bit too much like a Dresden clone, but overall it was a decent read. Doubt I will read any more of them though.

SF/F books that reference Doctor Who: 'The girl by the bar, he noticed, had watched calmly as the altercation between the pilots and smuggler had degenerated almost to the point of fisticuffs, then finished... High Wizardry (Young Wizards 3), 1995 Corgi edition, p. 107-9 (a few pages before the end of the Randomization chapter). (To be edited when I find a Simon R. Green quote about the Travelling Doctor.)
The pace has been rather slower than last year. No surprise, since I've *never* read that many books; dunno what got into me. Possibly stupidity. But anyway, returning more or less to previous levels of...R Green's The Unnatural Enquirer, tho not much to say about that last--if you liked the series thus far you will like it and it's better than Hell to Pay but not up to the best of the authors work
"It all started out so well. The Fun Faire did have it's share of unusual, high-risk, high-excitement attractions. Just the thing to tempt the palates of Nightside aesthetes. Or perhaps even the worst...and with moments of demonstrating extreme displeasure "suddenly and violently and all over the place"... Have a poke at Simon R Green's latest offering in his Nightside series - "The UnnaturalInquirer"
yes. i love sushi. that is a fact. Being as there is an empty sushi container sitting in the garbage can in front of me, signifies its importance in my life, especially as lunch. The cooked rice under...the entireseries, here are 2 xkcd comics that i cant get enough of.. well - thats it until something else usual or unusual happens.. All in all im just another brick in the wall..
My writing is flowing somewhat again, but have not nearly the time/energy I'd like, so l.j. is going to continue to be sporadic for a long time, most likely. Am now deeply regretting my plan to review...returned unread or at least unfinished, except maybe Evolving God, which is really interesting thus far. And now I'm out of here and back to the five jillion other things I need to do. Have fun, kids
These are the first 28 of the 50 books in my reading challenge, which I am supposed to complete by sometime in October, I think. All of this is taken directly from my other journal. 1: Evan & Elle...the characters well enough that I'll search PaperBackSwap.com for one of his earlier Spenser novels, which I believe have been published since the year I was born, and see how it compares to this one
