I got the following message from someone X at social.fm Subject: mercora "social.fm shut the doors friday. Everyone laid off. Looks like they forgot to shut down the servers, but it's all dead. Was nice...I should go and what I should use? I'm thinking some shoutcast thing with eather a server or peercast. I've gotta get the regular listeners over, there's like 5-10 of them. RIP mercora social.fm etc

thought I'd post this up here for anyone who may need it. So… Earlier today I figured out something. Social.fm stores it’s setting data in C:\documents and settings\yourusername\application data\mercora\mercora...the library and other related .dat's and stuff located there. If you do, you may have to readd your library, or something else. I just know some people will find this usefull, so I'm posting it here

So awsom! I haven't noticed very much publicity for this thing, but it's slick! Seriusly, it just works. Here is my widgit for serrebi101, and some artists click on any track to play. You all better take another look at social.fm. Things just got more interesting.

http://www.digg.com digg is a newssite /website sharing where you submit stuff and it gets digged or barried , depending on whether the community likes it or not. You can find some cool links here, facebook...charts that tell you what your top tracks are for the week, month, etc, whatever you set. It's amazingly cool, and 2 years worth of data.
