This week is at the hump and still climbing. Monday was all about Temple, hours of mailings. It worked out that D was off school and came to help out. He put in for his last 6 hours of service to qualify... but what she doesn't get is just how much we do in pain. Our friends would expect me to medicate the pain and show up. That's what I always did/do. It's going to be a really long long week. Ravi

When my son, Chris, was about three or four years old, we were watching TV when a commercial came on the screen featuring a woman ironing. Chris looked at me and said, "Mommy, girls don't iron. That...and was soon picking up his toys and making up his bed before school every day. We expected him to fit into the routine with the rest of us, and he did. More on the theory of expectation later...

It turns out that after a rather intense journey  through shadow  that I was wrong. My father isn't quite as bad as I  thought. I went from an aimless  disappointment to a "you're not half bad." I suppose...the edge with him. I hope  that he made it out  alive.  I am keeping his coat with me until he can  reclaim it. I wish he had worn that green paisley shirt. That would have  just been too perfect.

D and I watch movies as time together. We talk all the time, so this is more of a 'hang out' together thing. Today we watched Fight Club. He'd never seen it before, it'd been years since I'd watched...for me either. I think it's better he thinks 'MoM' is spacy and has memory issues at times, rather then some mental equation that most people think is 'fake,' rare or a disorder to be pitied. heh Ravi
