Just back from the Travel Agent and I'm all booked up for South Africa again ! Fly out 30th Dece coming back 18th JAnuary ! Nearly 3 whole weeks ! AWESOME ! IM soooo excited. In other news...It's knee...with a tv and stuff then I'm off wrk for a while recooperating ! Maybe I'll start updating this thing more...I kind of miss lj lol Just have to figuire out how to use it all again ! Peace Out ! x
Now I know I have already discussed this, but I find myself angry yet again, due to the powers that be wanting to change the name of Edwin Swales VC Drive in Durban. Major Edwin Swales, VC, DFC, SAAF...don't see the irony. My thanks to Mr Paul Kilmartin, a past chairman of the South African Military History Society and an expert (in my opinion) on Swales' life, for the history lesson.

Herbstferien is over. Totally over. It was nice to be back at school though. My favourite Monday morning double period of ten year olds was not quite as favourite as previous occasions - but it was ok...German, then English, then Swedish. I actually thought she was Danish when she was talking to me because her accent was so German. I felt bad. Her mum's from Dalarna though - maybe that explains it?

Here in South Africa, our government has embarked on a major road renaming scheme. They have now decided to re-name Old Main Road in Pinetown. This particular road being re-named is strange. I find...name has neither benefited the poor or hungry people, nor resulted in any sustainable job creation, but will cost everyone, including us individual tax-payers, a small fortune! Absolutely bloody crazy!
It's just that the Wikipedia article on the new party being formed by the former South African defense minister Mosiuoa Lekota has been copied verbatim onto the new party's website . I started and almost...interesting - flattering, even - that this article was copied verbatim to the official website of the party, but they do need to format the sections of the article. Maybe I should go into writing.

We've had a busy weekend, with a visiting bishop for St Thomas's patronal feast, which I've blogged about on my other blog . It's much easier to post pictures there than here.
Yep...I'm a zombie. I slept for one hour last night, then went to work. it is now half 4 in the morning and I have to be up for 7. I am shattered. However my good mood is holding for now. Probably due...for South Africa and other bits and bobs she might need. I'm gonna be so lonely without her! I am going to take 2 Amytryptiline and try and sleep. An exercise in futility I'm sure but I gotta try!
