I was quoted $99 for neutering.  Is this about standard? (I'm in the U.S.) TIA!

EDIT: I'm gonna go ahead and have him done. Thanks for the advice and anecdotes, everybody. Some months back I became the owner of a lovely German Shepherd, Sam. Sam was originally bred and trained... ). I know for a lot of you this is an open and shut decision. But I'd like to hear from anybody who had similar anxieties about getting a pet spayed/neutered. What did you do, and how did it turn out

Hey everybody! So, I had Signy spayed about a week ago. Everything seemed to go pretty well, except she's been a lot more skittish. She was so affectionate before and now it's like she's really scared...after everything she went through, so I guess I'm just seeing if anyone else has had a similar experience. I posted a bit ago about how to get my boy bun to eat his veggies and I wanted to say thanks for all the responses. I inadvertently (sp?) figured out how to do it! Which also leads me to another question...move to two buns, I don't need a whole family full. 0_0 His name is Erik, so keeping with my Phantom of the Opera theme, I named her Lotte. :) Erik is the black/white mini lop.

I've finally adopted my beautiful baby girl, Sasha! I'm really excited! Thing is, they had to spay her before I could adopt her so I'm wondering what do I need to do to make her feel comfortable? I never had a cat that was just spayed before so I don't know what to do! Do I put her in a cat bed or just leave her in her carrier? I think we're gonna buy one but I don't know if we can afford a carrier...

... about a month ago; I asked about food and pet insurance, if anyone is also a member there and remembers it. I have a problem, and I'm not sure if you can help me. I was looking for low-cost spay/neuter clinics in the area. I called the Humane Society; they gave me two phone numbers. One was the mobile spay/neuter van, which isn't going to be in the area for another month. The other number...
