I'm glad that Sean Penn won Best Actor, and, well, I think Best Supporting was a no-brainer (congrats to both). I'm also pleased about Milk winning Best Original Screenplay, although I admit that I was...arresting and the music was gorgeous, it just didn't grab me by the heart in quite the same way. The characters felt a bit more hollow. But Danny Boyle winning Best Director, I heartily approve of

I can't think of anything to write about Once without having to think about it too much, at which point I will probably break down crying. This is one of the best films I've seen in ages, and the soundtrack is simply astounding. I'm going to buy it at the soonest convenience. I do, obviously, plan to think about it. Eventually.

V for Vendetta : It never gets old. Sadly, I had to defer watching it to the 6th. State and Main : I can't believe I'd never bothered to watch this before, considering that I think Mamet is pretty...have at my disposal. Nicholas and Danny are my favorite thing in the world at the moment, and I can't see them walking out of my head any time soon. ETA: ...oh good God. I just died of teh cute
