Filmed in truly glorious Technicolor, this is probably the lightest of the Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn movies I’ve seen so far. ( I only have a couple of the ones they made together...who has taken her for granted for years until some competition turns up. I've written a much longer version of this review at  my blog if anyone is interested.:)

I did not asprie to be the other woman when I was growing up.  Does anyone?  It happened.  It happened one very drunk night a long time ago.  I have since given up drinking but I have not given up him...all.  The newness and freshness - the excitement - the fear - the paranoia - the chemistry.  So, it happened and he has been a part of my life since.  I am a part of his life.  What part?  The Other Woman.

Ah well. Posted because my cousin is getting married tomorrow.

George Stevens is fast becoming one of my favourite film directors. While his films can't be distinguished by a particular signature style or visual flair, they all have one thing in common - they...the issues it deals with will always be relevant, regardless of shifts in attitudes within the modern society. It also has many genuinely funny moments, and is worth watching for the humour alone.

Прошу любить и жаловать, сегодня  на повестке дня обсуждение выносятся два очень похожих между собой фильма. Нет, с выводами торопиться не стоит. То, что при просмотре одного сразу вспоминаешь другой...Причём оба фильма. Настоящая классика самой высокой пробы и звёздный состав. Какой фильм придётся по душе вам? Я не смога выбрать. Великий день в истории кино. Судить вам. Сегодня на свет появились такие замечательные люди и любимые актёры, как: Бэтт Дэвис. 100 лет со дня рождения! (в 1989 Бэтт не стало....) Грегори Пек. Сегодня ему могло бы быть 92 года. Актёр скончался не так давно  - в 2003 году. Спенсер Трейси. 108 лет со дня рождения. (Скончался в 1967 году...)
