Okay, so, well, I just made some new comics-loving friends, and of course I have all these other comics-loving friends already... so maybe I should sometimes post about comics? More than once every, um...of Ultimate!Mysterio? Eh, whatever. The last scene...? Will happily haunt my dreams tonight. On a related note, why Mr. Bendis can you only make me squee like a 12-year-old in this book? *sigh*

Man, it's hard to find a beta who isn't busy. I still don't have one but I haven't heard back from the last person I approached. The possibility to get one right away is looking pretty slim but if I have to wait, that's just what I'll do.

Yesterday I had asked if there was anyone out there that would like to beta my first Spider-Man fic that I'll be posting on LJ for the first time. Unfortunately I didn't hear from anyone willing to...there wants to offer their services, that would be great and I've asked around some more but haven't heard anything yet. My hope is to start posting very soon but without a beta, that won't happen.

With the response that I've received from my previous post, I have come to a very easy decision. I'll post my first Spidey story here. My plan, at the suggestion of a dear friend, is that I'm going to... Would anyone care to beta my chapters for me? My #1 beta will be busy and I do not want to burden her with this. If you are up to the task, leave me a comment and I'll get back to you about it

Definitely worth checking out, if only for the sake of satisfying one's curiosity. This story is also available in the Essential Marvel Team-Up vol.1 trade paperback.

I sort of splurged today. Today was the first time in a long time that I'd gone to the comic shop with my brother, and that we'd been to this particular comic shop. I walked into the store and my eyes... I miss him. He should come back to Amazing or Brand New Day or whatever it's called now. Gosh, it's all so complicated. Also, if Atom Eve got her own title, I'd be totally okay with that. Really

It's so funny to me seeing a rock band actually performing their cover of a cartoon theme live in concert. On a related note, did you know that Joe Perry wrote and performed the 90's Spider-Man cartoon theme ? I only just discovered this.
