Ephesians 4 Paul tells us that the grand purpose of a Christian's walk individually and corporately is to promote spiritual unity and peace (shalom). The entire church is a representation of one body...has called everyone to be. We are to go out, not in, and we are to bring peace and not a dog and pony show. We are to be His representatives with His method, His message and His character: not ours

Wow! The days at LT are just flying by! The days are so busy I barely have time enough to update & still get to bed at a decent time for work the next morning. I'm having the best time though; it's just...for LT & fully out of my comfort zone was already a huge risk & look at how fruitful it's been already! Can't wait to see what dreams God will unfold this summer... Can't. Wait =D In His Love, Jes

This is actually a read one get two free deal. I think my grocery shopping spawned that thought. Well, first of all, some thoughts on spiritual gifts first. I was sitting in church today as our reverend...it open so it looks like a mail filing bin thing, the parts of the strip remaining on both sides of the box are where the words "pull strip to open" are printed. More like, "rip box to shreds to open.

So over break we had one day of devotionals where we talked about spiritual gifts... The one test we took peaked my interest, so I decided to do another one: This seemed pretty similar to my other... and Faith from the test from LifeWay. I know I'm using Service, time to find a way to explore my other gifts :) Just google "spiritual gifts" and you should be able to find a test if you're interested

While yesterday was a day for celebration of my birthday, today was all about contemplation.  I took the day off from the workforce grind and played barefoot this morning...see how things are shaping up for this next year to take me to where I want to go in my life.  This is going to be a very busy month to kick it all off with, but I'm definitely feeling up to the task

The Search The Scriptures retreat was a blast! In our study, we looked at scientific evidence for evolution, natural selection, and intelligent design. It was fascinating. I may have to do a whole post...today and tomorrow because the roads are covered in snow! It is supposed to start sleeting later today and continue to snow and rain all day today and tomorrow.
