Rossiter, The Electrical Resisitivity of Metal and Alloys ; Chapter 2, "Atomic Configuration of an Alloy:" All sorts of interesting preliminaries here, but I'd just like to mention that this has the best description of superalloys I've seen, yet, plus it gives a good number of references on the subject. There is also a good discussion of correlation, not unrelated.
