Was having a problem with SWT where I had assigned separate selection
listeners to different menuitems. However, after selecting menu item 1 and
then selecting menu item 2, menu item 1's event handler was called by the
framework. Seems that SWT doesn't distinguish between a selection event and
a deselection event. That leads to this hack to work around the issue:
