So once again, I haven't updated regularly. But we've had some great rides. My first ride after this past post was a trail ride! He did sooo good too! Maille was having some malfunctions - spooking at... 'forward', 'move shoulders', and 'move haunch'. As well as picking feet. Then took him out to the arena and made him do it in a big space. So poor Griff :P We'll see about tonight, its getting COLD!

The first discussion occured today. But not really... We did the normal lounging warm up and walking. It was the trot that really didn't work out. It hink it was the dressage whip- because I only use...on sale. So, just a short update, despite the fact that its been a week and we've done a LOT of good cantering, this is what I've got. ... With the economy the way it is right now and it is especially bad in my hometown I figured If I wanted a career with horses right now I would have to get creative. I have always wanted to start a tack shop but there is already 2 in my area to compete with but the thought came to me that I buy most of my tack on line so why couldn't I put my tack shop on line. So I saved some money, did some research...

So its been two days, and so much has happened with Griff! I gave him the day off on Wednesday, because I ached from the fall and working my butt off. Thus, Griffith wasn't worked again until last night... Also tomorrow - he gets turned out with the baby QH! He was already turned out with Finnie [old black gelding] today and he was good. So tomorrow we really get to work! and we'll see what happens! +J

In the last month I've done a lot of little things working on improving the horses' equipment. I repainted the caveletti cross ends and hubby is going to reattach them back to posts. I'll take a pic and...over the poles and was soon at the gate to go back to the barn. The student (an adult woman!) told me: "I don't think he saw the edge."   I almost died laughing.  The arena is in the mind folks...

...or gave them away to really poor homes. I think overall though I've been feeling quite relieved - and Apollo admitted it too when pressed - that we will not have to put in a run-in shed or tack room. We are both burned out on spending weekends building stuff that doesn't seem to work out. I can't describe to you how physically wearing it is to keep putting in fences, improving stalls, building...
