The last few days my lower back has been hurting. I was thinking of what to call the pain and decided that "flank pain" was a good name. We had our third match today. This time, they showed up with two sets of protective gear, and whoever was going to spar put it on.  This allowed for some contact during sparring, which actually seemed...learn this as a completely new style, and compartmentalize them in my mind, or just take Taekwondo and add in stuff from this style to make my own style.  It's an interesting and difficult question.

So for some reason I can't fathom (perhaps because I'm never outside when it happens), there's this one motor scooter that usually drives by some time around 9:30 in the morning just about every morning...cartoons, only every morning.  I hear something drive by and then there's a crash. It really puzzles and amuses me, but I'm not sure I want to actually go to the trouble of figuring out what it is... :)

I got my scooter yesterday! It's a Yamaha 125cc, fun as hell to ride. I can already see how this will free up a nice chunk of time for me, as I will no longer have to plan my day around public transportation...the students are learning and aren't in danger of any bodily harm, I think it'll fly. And let's face it: he and I want to see our classes compete. It'll be awesome if we can actually pull this off.
