...Association wanted me for the 3A Region Drill Representative for next year. He wanted to know if I wanted to accept the position. Of course!!! I am so excited! I seriously have found my niche in life and now I'm planning on getting my teaching degree so that I can make Ben Lomond my permanent home. I'm really excited. I love teaching and I'm happy that I found something that fits me so well.

Over the past few days my commute has been taken up with thoughts of how I would teach a "Get to Know Your Tarot Deck" class, including a booklet that each participant would gradually complete, giving...specifically on their own deck and their own perspective? One that doesn't give them pat meanings or patterns to memorize and follow, but tools for deepening their individual understanding of any deck they use

 That's not the first time I've had similar comments on my teaching style.   So.   Noted.   Otherwise, I will say that I'm now making dancers watch tapes of their own movement and having them go through the process of "what do I want to show, and how can I change this movement to do so?"  I feel like a cop out, that is, teaching them to choreograph and mold to my vision...dragging them through this...

Last night I took my narrative illustration class to the Boston Public Library to see the murals there. It's one of my favorite spots in the whole city :) While there, we were fortunate to stumble upon...related stuff and war related stuff. The show is up through the end of the year(!) I think that while leading a classroom or while teaching anything to any group of people there is a fantastic dance of minds. I saw and felt this quite keenly at dance practice last night.
