[Any and every computer and NOC screens suddenly click on. The screens flicker, then hum and hiss with static. Slowly the static starts to clear and Tech appears on the screens, scowling, clearly unhappy. He didn't want video chat, he wanted protected records. Why hadn't the computers given him what he wanted? Computers always gave him what he wanted. He doesn't like this NOC system. It doesn't...
Dear person on Twitter who I'm not even sure who you are but we're following each other for some reason: I don't care about the "intention" behind it. "Gay" meaning "rubbish" grew out of homophobia, and...IT TOOOO" because I don't care. (Posting here because I've decided to walk away from the conversation as a hopeless one. I stayed calm, but I won't be able to keep it that way and don't want a fight
Leave me an anonymous comment pouring your heart out. Say anything. Tell me your stories, your secrets, those things no one ever asks but you wish to tell. Tell me about your love, your hate, your indifference...list, and tell me why you continue to come back here. Tell me anything. Tell me what you really think of me or yourself. Anything. Post anonymously. Speak honestly. Post as many times as you like.
Laptop problem growing; now I'm starting to get random freezes. Purely a graphical issue (the computer's still running under the frozen screen - one happened yesterday while I was watching iPlayer and the sound didn't stop), but there's no way to get control back without resetting, and it's only a matter of time before reset without shutdown ends in disaster. Bollocks. D:
That's real cute. You kidnap a guy in his sleep, then you take his guns. Can't even trust me to play nice. ... if this even is kidnapping. Not too sure because of that unlocked door. I almost headed...oversight, I want some warning before I get shot at. [Not that it'll stop him from exploring, either way.] Looks kinda like a cell phone... thought all these bastards were broken. So who's out there
I bought myself the netbook so that I'd have a mobile computing solution. It was intended that it would only be used for web surfing and lightweight word processing. It performs these tasks admirably. Better than admirasbly, even. But it runs WoW, and it does so better than my desktop computer.
Flaunt it. In this case, 'it' is spare cash, and to flaunt it, I bought a netbook. A tiny little 8.9" screen jobbie that looks like one of those 'educational toys" from the early nineties. I like it, because it's conveniently smalll enough to take places. It's also dead easy to connect to the 'tubes, especially 'on the go'.
Jesus. If you have a Mac and, like me, you have absolutely no willpower and cannot stay away from email/the internets for any length of time sufficient to do any writing or actual work, there's Freedom...me and my ADD really need it. And because that's pretty sad and/or boring, here's George Michael with some (very, very loosely) related songstuff: George Michael - Freedom '90
In late 2008, Microsoft decided they should create a tool to create "rich" web applications that run multiple platforms to bring us all "a new level of engaging, rich, safe, secure, and scalable cross...I use Silverlight, I've avoided them too. Well, today I happened to be installing Microsoft Office 12 (Office 2007) and guess what? It installed Silverlight for me! ...and I uninstalled it. Jerks
