Happy Holidays! I'm sorry that I'm late on posting this but my world has been insanely busy this holiday season. My favorite day of the year is Thanksgiving because it's the one day that everyone stops doing what they're doing to enjoy family and friends over food. We chose to go to Port Aransas for our Thanksgiving this year and I think it'll become an annual trip for us. My father-in-law and wife...

Relaxing day

Turkey with current stuffing, homemade lemon merigine pie (from lemon tree), pumpkin pie (fresh pumpkin from October), apple pie (from apple tree), homemade butter and homemade cheese. Lovely dinner at home, just the two of us. Watched Ice Age 3, Angels & Demons and G.I.Joe. And J even did 6 loads of dishes to keep things caught up in between cooking. He's a keeper.

A Middle-aged Orphan Give Thanks

Tomorrow is the Thanksgiving holiday here in the U.S. That means millions watching the morning telecast of the big NYC parade sponsored by Macy's, complete with giant helium balloons, elaborate floats and Santa bringing up the rear. It means football games to be enjoyed by all the armchair quarterbacks, and feasting. Lots of feasting. The original meal shared by the Pilgrims and Indians would pale...

Not Much...

Not much going on here. Trying to get the family house ready for Thanksgiving. The part that really sucks is that I have to work Graveyard shift on Wednesday and Thursday. I'm so sick of working that shift at work that it's not even funny. Luckily I only have two more shifts like that this year and then no more until the 4th of July of next year... and even that is questionable. Hopefully by then...

Mama said they'll be days like this//they'll be days like this my Mama said ~ rp for i_dont_cuddle

Jay was wearing something a bit more conservative than Danny was likely used to. Not that her mom cared much about what she wore, but Jay always felt the need to take that route for holiday dinners. Something...in front of the door beside her mother's shop and looked up. She bit her lip slightly and turned around to Danny. "Like I said...you don't hafta...I told her we weren't....if you wanna run, you can.

What are all these weird bird things...? "Turkeys," I keep hearing? I've never seen anything like them before. They're pretty excitable, aren't they? Somehow, this reminds me of those melon patches that...of pilgrims, either. Maybe they're here to hunt turkeys, haha! That would be a pretty weird coincidence. Then again, knowing this place... Juudai! Hey, Juudai! Let's catch a turkey. It'll be fun
