The Deer Hunter (1978) AFI Top 100: #79 Directed by Michael Cimino Written by Michael Cimino and Deric Washburn Starring Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken, and Meryl Streep Average Rating: 8/10 Ryan...lost in translation, The Deer Hunter is something worth seeing. They really don’t make films about subjects this big with such a small focus anymore. I give this film 8 out of 10 steel mills.

What a powerful movie... now I understand why Bobby DeNiro is Andy Milman's favorite actor. Also, it's too bad that we don't learn anything about Vietnam in school.

Disclaimer: I did not create these characters...time he played.  He took the gun from one of the men at the table, put it to his temple and pulled the trigger.  The clack of an empty chamber.  He was still there, but he wasn’t.   

I need to watch the second half of The Deer Hunter tomorrow. It has been a month and a half since I started this movie, the sad part is I really like it too and I still haven't finished it. I blame the fact that it is a VHS.
