The other day penguingeorge and I watched Iron Jawed Angels. I had downloaded it because it was a movie about suffragettes and had Molly Parker and Anjelica Huston in it. And because if you...news, I was just trying to put some spaghetti sauce into a tupperware container to freeze, and it splattered all over my face. I look rather like I've murdered someone for their fingernails, I think
1. I feel like I should have a lot to post about lately. There's been stuff going on. I went to two weddings! They weren't even entirely horrible. But I have nothing interesting to say about them or anything... My life is a rollercoaster, you see. Today I went for a walk and saw some leaves and met an old man who talked to me about nuns. Ninety-three nuns, to be exact. They have a swimming pool, apparently
1. A couple of weeks ago I had a text-message conversation with freaky_eggplant which at one point led her to text, "I vote whippersnapper as the new trend insult, though. 'God, what a fuckin'...and lovely and uses textspeak and is generally Stephen Fry, by which I mean AWESOME. 4. I am going to put a framed print of today's xkcd comic on my wall. MY SOUL, IN COMIC FORM, WITH STICK FIGURES
1. The Cobra Starship spoof of that song. You know the one. I hate that song. And the spoof is not really any better, except in the way that it has Cobras instead of that other person. (It might even be...teacher at the moment, and even moreso by Logan's ominous stalkery discovery, but whatever, the grownups are awesome. Pot brownies and skinny-dipping and giggling and sleepovers and being friends!
1. How to clean turmeric off of a teflon frying pan: In a mixing bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking powder and powdered sugar, then set aside. In a small bowl beat two eggs and add milk, water, and...singing a sad drinking song about goodbyes into a microphone, before passing the mic to a passenger who continued the song even though he was unsure of the order in which the verses were meant to be sung
1. Another one of my cousins (well, cousins and second cousins and at various removals and...look, I have a lot of family, okay? Let's just go with cousins) is getting married. The most recent one is my...Baby Gap with a bunch of superhero tee-shirts on display. One of them was a sparkly purple Batgirl shirt. I keep meaning to look into finding an adult-ish sized one. I'm feeling the need to own one now
So, there's stuff going on this weekend! Fun, summery Toronto things that I actually intend to participate in this time. (Mostly I refer to Toronto Fringe and the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition .) ... as we are indecisive.) View Poll: Saturday July 12, 2007 ETA: Um, just pretend I know what year it is, okay? ETA2: Sorry guys, I'm just not up to spending the afternoon out Fringeing today
1. Had a lovely time at alex2b 's cottage this week. We went looking for moose! We didn't find any, but it was still fun. See: No moose. I did go swimming in the lake a couple of times, which...some grocery shopping. All I have in the apartment is tequila and cheese and the frozen chocolate cake Ex-Housemate M left last time he was here. He should come back soon, I think. I miss him. *pouts
1. So, as it turns out, when I was busy shielding my camera from a water pistol attack and penguingeorge said that hey, didn't that guy on that float look an awful lot like John Barrowman, and...hurt afterwards. I think I irritated the still-healing cuts from the glass incident last week. 5. Happy Canada Day! Canada is awesome even though there were no Mounties in the Pride Parade this year
