Behold the hideously glorious cloth I found in Goodwill: Kacie cat included for pattern size reference (well, really, because she likes to "help.")  There's about 4 yards of this stuff, and I bought...in a few years, if Bratz are still around... You may have them for the price of shipping I'll even let you decide if you'd rather use Priority Mail or media mail (if you're in the US, natch).

Every time I look at shoes in Goodwill, I hope to find Doc Martens. Today was the first day I've actually found them--six pairs of 'em. Most of them made in England. One pair in my size...but in a style...can see: (And, the framing looks expensive) It's the back, though, that gets my sympathy: 6-30-08. The recipient kept it for about 3½ months before donating it. That seems a bit harsh to me...

So, I had a pair of Doc Martens in a completely bland dark taupe-y color.  I managed to wear these for a bit over an hour (before my ankles and feet started swelling, thanks in part to the need for...to full and make into soaker diaper covers Total, with tax on the non-clothing items only (no tax charged on used clothes): $27.65 I'm not sure if this really counts a being "thrifty" anymore..

to celebrate me being all sober for 100 days, i went to the thrift store to buy something nice for myself, and i FOUND THIS MOVIE (omg! this was my FAVORITE movie when i was a kid!!!) and just now...out of a BUNNY MUG. the handle is the best part. and also, here is a fuzzy picture of my equally fuzzy hair. now, i am going to watch doctor dolittle and be proud of myself for being a champion. ;
