I'm slooowly tryin to get my groove back. Oh My God, I'm so out of practice. This piece will be a ewer, with a handle and spout.: And a vase: When I threw the second piece, I started to feel...the bisque firing, then bam! You glaze it, and the glaze runs and fuses the fucker to the kiln shelf. It certainly makes opening the kiln a moment fraught with emotional uncertainty.
I Loves me some fat, neoclassic ovoid forms.... I pushed the clay about as far as it could go without completely losing the piece. Thrown, it's about 10 inches in height. Finished will probably be approx 8.5
Today I woke up late, at around 2pm. Waking up that late normally is a sign of a bad day ahead, but it wasn't a bad day for me it at all. It was pleasent and delightful. I had cherrios to eat for breakfest... Asian rap-lover dude helped me stock, and time flew by. That was my day. I found these pictures interesting tonight.... www.msnbc.msn.com/id/26487020/displaymode/1107/s/2/framenumber/24/
The nerds all around the world look forward to the day when the school starts, and so do I. Today I got my timetable for the year (>> wow almost no MATH at all *shock* am I in heaven???) Currently devouring the leftover ton of After Eight mint chocolates my dad stuffed in 4 100-yen bags in a free shop on the airport. She is good at getting what she wants by throwing her little fits. Anyways, on Saturday we went to the party for Emma. Tucker, Georgia was only 34 miles away, but it took an hour to get there. I was scared, but it was strangely calm. My aunt...
... especially in the throws from '02-'06. Granted you had Keelin, Robyn, and a whole slew of other amazing throwers putting the bar insanely high, but it was a good time to be a thrower in D3. I missthrowing. I want to go back to it. I want to not headcase the next time I get back into it. I haven't picked up a hammer in over a year. I walked away because it was not making me happy, and because I...
...about the ethics of drinking milk and debate vegan vs vegetarian. Like it mattered. I don't understand why someone would argue about something so petty. Shouldn't they be debating the ethics of throwingaway food? Or wasting it? Does throwing the crust of the pizza away equate to ignoring the plight of unfed infants thousands of miles away? I would like someone to answer this reasonably...
Today I threw a piece of cucumber at my sister, multiple times for no particular reason. I lovethrowing stuff, especially if it's food. I love food. Today the jobcenter called and said they might have a job for me over the summer. They'll call back. So, just more waiting. Yesterday my sister came in my room. I have this box made of... I don't remember but it doesn't matter. So, I have this box where...
