I just got the cover art for Thursday's Child.  The second installment in the Children of Bacchus series.  The release date is late May 25, 2009. Blurb:  Finding a satyr caged in a carnival sideshow horrifies Travis and Cembran and forces them to make a daring rescue. There are an awful lot of facile shows out there. Not bad shows - they fill an hour, they are even successful - but undemanding, unexplored. They have an interesting premise, well-crafted plots and stars...huge fan. (I mean I friended Elizabeth Bear for her Criminal Mind reviews.) Shows that like that? Shows that expect the viewer to keep up, to care, still work. Even if they are few and far between
