Now, I was thinking that you may be wondering where the title came from. Being the random person I am, I will tell you some important information. The title of the story was originally going to be "the terror of DEATH" for the lack of a better title. But then, I found Sadie by Alkaline Trio and took internet in a particular set of lyrics. Go run along my little nightmare, your job is...
The two things, paradise and music, don't actually mean anything specific together, or reference anything clever, or recall they lyrics to a retro 1960s song (that I know of). They're just two things...batteries die, or malfunction. You can play anything you want on it. Play as loud as you can to disrupt the silence. Maybe it's not the most practical thing to choose, but it's a keeper on my list
...an old woman owns them. however i also think there was another cat in the story as well. and the main character ends up throwing one of them in the oven or something? there also has to do with something about kids turning into fish if they drink the lake water or something? and i think it has demons. thats all i remember. if someone can remember the title...that'd be really great. thanks.
...to get a good balance between descriptive and evocative and mysterious. Titles aren't important when it comes to writing but on the other hand they really are. I'm not sure that made sense. The title won't change the final product at all (a rose smells like a rose no matter what you call it) but the wrong kind of title can send the wrong signals (nobody says stop and smell the bodongs.) If...
Having trouble with a title... I NEVER HAVE TROUBLE WITH A TITLE!!! It's like: "How do I summarize a story like this in a few short words?" It's going to be an epic story with a lot of chapters. [I hope] Though, no one reads this journal, so it doesn't matter anyway... Oh well...
After giving it much thought and stress, and receiving not one suggestion, I've decided on a name for my serial novel, which was dubbed "Currently Untitled" on my DeviantART, for lack of a proper title, and previously titled "Fiction Writer". I didn't like that one because the story sorta grew out of it. Anyway, my name. *drum roll* My weekly-updated serial novel is now under the name of: CITTÀ...
MY PET PROJECT NOW HAS AN OFFICAL TITLE. It took me long enough to find one, but alas... I did what I usually do when I can't decide/construct a decent title—I go hunting through song titles and lyrics. The title is Beyond Redemption, based off of a song title from the band H.I.M. My second choice was Of Mist and Midnight Skies , a song title from Cradle of Filth...
I never really had gone into depth to explain the title of my LiveJournal, so I figured that while I was changing it, I should take the time to elaborate on the meaning. The first title was "Human After All," which is a reference to Daft Punk's 2005 album. While Daft Punk's electronic music is repetitive (particularly this album), and the lyrics might seem simple (particularly the title track), the...
π Eyelids heavy, music blaring, nose shooting loud bursts of "achoo", and the clock reads 7:18. Already? This day sucks. Post, the First π Today I have accomplished just about as much as those small... listening to the newly discovered Motion City Soundtrack, waiting to talk with my fiance, prying my eyelids open every few minutes, the only thing I can really say about today is, "the pie was good".
